Meet Max, Willow, Pete, Hoops and BURG.L

Every survival story needs survivors. In Grounded there are four of them, plus one very helpful robot. Here is who you are dealing with when you step into the backyard.

Who are the four teens?

Max, Willow, Pete and Hoops are the four playable characters. Their full names are Maxwell Smalls, Willow Branch, Peter Boggs and Ally Nguyen, who goes by Hoops. A science experiment shrank all four to the size of an insect, and from then on the lawn is their whole world.

You play as one of them, alone or with up to three friends in co-op, so a full squad can be the full cast.

What does BURG.L do?

BURG.L is the robot assistant in the lab. Once its memory is restored it helps with blueprints and knowledge, and the BURG.L chips you find unlock new buildings. In a backyard full of things that want to eat you, a robot that helps you build is a very good friend to have.

What do the teens wear?

Look closely at the game's art and you will spot their shirts: a yellow tank with a WHOA graphic, a white tee with a pink skateboarder in sunglasses, a dark tee with a rainbow sword, and a shirt covered in planets. Two of those graphics made it into our store, so you can wear what the teens wear.

Tips for picking your character's look

• Team up: if your co-op squad has four players, pick four different designs.
• Go bright: the pink skateboarder pops on a white piece.
• Keep it classic: the GROUNDED wordmark works on anything.
